At Avonside, we focus on the whole child. Our curriculum combines academic learning with opportunities to build confidence, develop life skills, and nurture emotional wellbeing. We prepare young people for adulthood by helping them grow in every area – not just in the classroom.

Purpose-Built for SEMH Learners

Our brand-new, specialist school supports students aged 13 to 19 with SEMH needs, many with additional learning needs. The refurbished, purpose-built environment is designed to provide a calm, safe and supportive space where every young person can thrive.

Therapeutic and Vocational Opportunities

Alongside core subjects, students follow a therapeutic and vocational curriculum that helps them develop practical skills and prepare for their next steps in education, training or work.
